Do you want to be a better knitter? Join Alison and Robbie for a year-long knitting adventure where you will expand your skills, try advanced stitches, and create an heirloom piece! You can choose to join on a month-to-month basis or pay for the entire year and save big on class fees! We will meet once a month so you not only learn a bunch of new stitches, but you also get to learn from two different instructors - Robbie and Jodi will be alternating classes.
Each month we will start a new block and a new skill. These blocks will explore knit and purl textures, cables, bobbles, lace and more! The technique difficulty will start at an easier level and increase as we build our skills throughout the year. Each individual block will measure about 12"x12" so that you will have a large and beautiful heirloom blanket at the end of the class.
Prerequisites: Participants must be able to independently cast on, knit, purl, and bind off. Advanced beginner knitters, this class is for you!
Homework: You must achieve gauge prior to class on a blocked 4"x 4" swatch = 16 stitches x 20 rows. Prior to each class, you must cast on and get through the Border (and Set-Up Row if listed) as described in the pattern for each block.

Materials:
- Approximately 1400 yards of any worsted weight yarn or ~140 yards per block
- Great wool options: Malabrigo Rios, Mountain Meadow Wool Laramie or Cora
- Great acrylic option: Encore Worsted, Encore Worsted Colorspun
- 6mm circular knitting needle with a 24" cord, adjusted in size based on your personal gauge

- Your complete knitting kit with scissors, stitch markers, darning needles, etc.
