Are you a beginner knitter ready to tackle double pointed needles (DPN), but aren't sure where to start? Well, we have just the class for you! Join Maureen as she leads you through the basics of DPN knitting and knitting in the round.
Prerequisites: Participants need to know how to do the long-tail cast on, how to knit and purl, how to make ribbing, how to make the stockinette stitch, how to use a stitch marker – all skills covered in our Begin to Knit Classes 101 and 102!
Skills taught in this class: During this delightful class, participants will arrive with 29 stitches cast on their needles. The start of the class will show you how to divide cast on stitches evenly amongst your DPNs. Participants will then learn how to join in the round using double pointed needles, circular knitting using double pointed needles without forming "ladders", and how to decrease in a pattern while making this adorable jar or can cozy! So come on down and learn to knit in the round with your double pointed needles!
Homework: Students should come to class with 29 stitches cast on using the long-tail cast on.

- ~100 yards worsted-weight wool (we recommend Lamb’s Pride),
- US size 8 DPNs,
- Stitch marker,
- Darning needle.
