Granny squares are the classic crochet claim to fame! They are easy, can be quite versatile, form beautiful mosaics, and are superb for using up your scrap yarn.
Join Maureen for this class, which will teach you all the basics needed to make your first granny square! You will learn how to crochet in the round to create a specific design, how to change yarn color, and the double crochet stitch.
By the end of this class, participants will be able to complete their granny square on their own if they don't finish it during class.
Class Time: Tuesday, April 2nd from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm.

Class Materials:
- ~100g total of two to three colors of a 100% cotton, worsted-weight yarn; new or from your yarn stash. We recommend Fantasy Naturale or Coastal Cotton
- US size G/6 (4.00mm) crochet hook
- Darning needle
Prerequisites: Participants should know how to chain, slip, and single crochet stitch. Participants can also practice the magic circle technique if desired and if they have completed this technique at least once before. These are all skills taught in our Begin to Crochet 101 and 102 classes!
Homework: If you purchase your supplies right before class, please come at least 20 minutes early if you buy a yarn needing to be wound!
