Join Ann Budd, master knitter, author, and knitting instructor for this highly anticipated class in creating a custom skirt pattern!
Knitted skirts are becoming wardrobe staples—and they’re a lot easier to knit than you might think (they require just three to four skeins of sock yarn)! Learn how to take proper waist and hip measurements and combine them with your gauge to create a “pleated” skirt with a perfect fit, no matter your size.
You’ll leave with a personalized skirt pattern for your yarn and gauge.
INTERMEDIATE KNITTING SKILLS REQUIRES; MUST BE COMFORTABLE KNITTING IN ROUNDS, INCREASING, AND DECREASING, AND HAVE A SENSE OF ADVENTURE.
Materials: About 1800 yards fingering-weight yarn, 1600 yards sport-weight yarn, or 1200 yards DK-weight yarn (note: for best results, choose a yarn that’s at least 75% wool); appropriate 32” circular needles for knitting gauge swatches; stitch markers; calculator.
Please wear close-fitting pants (yoga pants or leggings are ideal) to facilitate taking measurements.
Meetings: Saturday November 10 10am-4:30pm, lunch is included in the cost of the workshop
